Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in January 1974. Her most well-known role is Bo, from Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk was created in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk both were academics. Ilkay was also a writer, producer, and director. She is Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna was a child and watched her mother at work and attending practice sessions for plays. Silk appeared as a little model in a commercial. Silk completed her studies at St. Thomas University with the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was active in at least two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk made the move to Toronto to pursue her acting profession in November 1999, and during the following decade relocated into Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman met Silk at the Actors Workshop held in Los Angeles, in 2007. The couple got engaged in 2009 and married in a civil ceremony in the month of December in that same year. They renewed their vows on April 10th 2011 at Fredericton in the tradition of a Jewish wedding ceremony following Silk's changed her religion to Judaism. Silk was blessed with the son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron is her second child, and was born on 13th of May 2016. Silk's television work is centered around the character Cassidy Holland in Being Erica in which she was awarded the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009, she was cast as the main character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk became pregnant during production of the season three finale and announced this to the viewers during the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on the 6th of January, 2013. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the beginning of production for the fourth season. On June 20 2013 Silk announced via Twitter that she was ready to work on the show. CNN, Cable News Network as well as E! have both named Bo (played by Silk) together with Lauren (played by Zoie) and Lauren (Zoie) among their top TV couple. Entertainment Television.
